For right in front of me,
Before my very eyes,
I witnessed his last moments,
Of how a man struggles and still dies.
It should not have happened,
Not in front of us all,
For if he had thought it out,
He'd still be alive walking tall.
But he took his own life,
There was no one else to blame,
When he went into that river,
He literally put out his own flame.

No Time To Die
We can lose it so swiftly if we do not think,
And I seen how it happens, how quickly one dies,

ABOUT THIS POEM:
The above poem was written just days after watching a man drown
I will never forget his wife, a total stranger to me, crying on utmost anguish

To watch someone die before your very eyes,
It changes your perspective on how time really flies.
You have it one minute, and the next you have not,
Got anything at all, but a box, in a plot.
So swifly sometimes that there is not even time to wink.
How can one waste it and just throw it away,
If you asked me that, I would not know what to say.
I can still see the transition of life and death in his eyes.
It is something that you really can never forget,
When you watch someone gamble his life, who just lost the bet.
in front of his own family. When one drinks wine all day and then trys to
take a 4-track across a raging river it is a gamble, even more so when he
can't even swim. The man had punctured ribs from trying to hold on to the bike.
on my shoulders when we knew he had just ended his own life.
He died on August 4th/91 in spite of all our efforts to revive him.........
